Take your RV to Europe – The Low-Cost Route to Long-Term Touring
Teach your old RV new tricks! Take your RV to Europe – The Low-Cost Route to Long-Term Touring will open up an entire new world to American and Canadian RVers. The authors, Adelle and Ron Milavsky have toured Europe extensively in their own RV, make a compelling case that if you plan to spend 6 weeks or more in Europe, doing it by RV is the most economical way to go. Of course, RVers already know about the comfort and convenience of taking their home along.
The Milavskys have thought of everything, so you don't have to, making a European RV trip as hassle free as possible. Along with trip notes and a country-by-country reference of important information, you'll learn about shipping an RV to Europe, figuring costs, getting ready for the trip and preparing your RV for Europe. You'll also know what to expect once you get there, including information on driving in Europe, campgrounds, how to stay in touch with the folks at home.
If you've ever dreamed about RVing beyond the borders of your own country, this is an absolute must-have reference guide. And lest the thought of driving in a foreign land intimidate you, the Milavskys assure us that because of great public transportation, you never need to tow a smaller "round town" vehicle behind your motorhome. Take your RV to Europe the Good Read Award.

Live your Road Trip Dream - The Ultimate Road Trip Planning Guide
Do you want to take that trip of a lifetime, but can’t figure out how to “leave it all behind?”
Live Your Road Trip Dream: Travel for a year for the cost of staying home will inspire you to turn your personal travel dream into reality.
This information-packed “how-to” guide will step you through everything you need to know to make your own adventure of a lifetime possible. The authors, Carol and Phil Whites pack humor, wisdom and sound advice into this entertaining, yet practical book.
Live Your Road Trip Dream tackles such questions as how to pay for a year away from home, how to unravel all your current commitments, how to plan on the fly and enjoy every day, how to handle the emergencies that crop up along the way, and the most asked question: how to enjoy your traveling companion on a 24-7 basis!
The second half of the book takes you along on a whirlwind tour of the authors’ trip —not because they think that what they did is important (everyone has their own dream), but to help you visualize what months away from home might really be like and to offer a glimpse into how decisions and discoveries are made along the way.
Whether your dream takes you on a road trip across the United States or on a sailboat trip around the world,

No
Mountain Too High
For 48 years,
Ned Levitt led a charmed life. He was a partner
in a successful law firm, and he and his wife,
Cheryl, were the parents of three beautiful and
talented daughters who shared their enthusiasm
for sports, creative expression, and cottage
life. Then, on August 30, 1995, an event shook
Ned to his foundations, threatening the
stability of his family, his career, and his own
mental health. Stepping off a curb to cross the
street while out for a jog, his beautiful
18-year-old daughter, Stacey, was hit and killed
by a car.
Emerging
from a year filled with thoughts of suicide, Ned
began a journey of survival, healing, and
redemption and he began to reach out to other
bereaved parents. No Mountain Too High
tells the story of who Stacey was, the special
bond of love between Ned and her, the horrible
pain he experienced in losing her, and the
struggle to survive and find meaning again in
life. It will serve to inspire others to find a
path through their problems, appreciating that
life is precious, to be lived to its fullest,
with every moment savoured.
All of us
will experience a great loss in our lives, and
No Mountain Too High may help to get
through that time. We are happy to award Ned
Levitt and No Mountain Too High the RVTV
Good Read Award.

The Wal-Mart Locator
Bob & Jan Wiley have traveled for years “full
timing” in their RV. Desiring a quick stop at
Wal-Mart to pick up prescriptions, stock up on
essentials, and possibly enjoy one nights rest,
they found it very difficult to locate their
favorite store.
The Wal-Mart Locator was born from the need to
find a better way to locate Wal-Mart stores. Bob
and Jan designed the guide to help travelers
easily locate over 3500 Wal-Mart and Sam's Club
Stores in the 48 contiguous states. Maps
showing geographical locations for stores
relative to Interstate highways and major cities
make it easy to plan stops. Detailed driving
directions from an Interstate exit and phone
numbers are listed for each store. This book is
truly a travelers friend and receives the RVTV
Good Read Award.

RVers - "How do they live like that?" Answers
for those who wonder
Most RV books and magazine articles address the
how-to issues: how to get your mail, how to find
places to park, how to fix any physical system
that will fail, and, of course, where to travel
next. In "How Do They Live Like That?" Answers
for Those Who Wonder, former family counselors
Judy Farrow and Lou Stoetzer have created a
unique book describing the human interactions
inside the tin boxes we inhabit. The Authors
apply their years of professional knowledge,
their own nine years' experience on the road,
and their eighteen-month research project with
Rvers in a book full of insight and suggestions
to help RVers deal with each other, their
families and friends left behind, and other life
issues, including their health, aging on the
road, and finally hanging up the keys. Farrow
and Stoetzer describe all issues in detail and
then offer tools to resolve those issues.
Included are instructions for improving couple
and family relationships, answers to questions
from and for non-Rvers, A guide to solo
traveling, guidelines for "creative aging" and
much more. It is predicted that ten million RVs
will soon travel our roads, and that one million
of these RVs will be the only home the happy
drivers have. Rvers - "how do they live like
that?" provides a warm and humorous, new and
different look at this century's pioneers and
receives the RVTV Good Read
Award.

Big Rigs Best Bets
If you drive or haul a big RV, then you have a
problem: Not every campground can accommodate
your rig. After a long day of driving, it's no
fun to drive miles out of your way only to find
that the park you selected can't squeeze you in.
As big rig RV owners themselves, authors Ken and
Ellie Hamill understand this common problem.
With one frustrating experience after another,
they decided it was time to do something to help
other owners of large RVs: the result is their
Big Rig Best Bets Campground Directory, a
wonderful guide that lists RV parks in the most
popular states visited by RVers in king-sized
RVs. Remarkably, every park listed has been
personally visited by the authors to ensure that
the information presented is accurate. In Big
Rig Best Bets You will discover a blend of parks
- destination resorts, parks suitable for an
overnight stay without unhooking, and public
parks embraced by Mother Nature - some
surprisingly with modern day conveniences.
Specific site suggestions within the parks are
mentioned in most of the listings as well as
activities and nearby attractions you
shouldn't miss like a great restaurant or golf
courses. And they point out if the park offers
Internet access including WiFi. The 2004 edition
covers 41 states and once you read it, you'll
see why they're fulltimers. They simply could
not produce such a quality and helpful book
without living and breathing the lifestyle. Big
Rigs Best Bets is a must have for Big rig owners
and RVTV is pleased to give it
the Good Read Award.

The NextEXIT
The
NextEXIT is the most complete Interstate Highway
Exit Directory ever printed, and so easy to use!
You'll find a thorough exit-by-exit listing of
every service you will ever need including food,
gas, camping, shopping, and much more. This
"Exit Bible" will make your traveling experience
a genuine pleasure. Author Mark Watson and his
wife are the parents of nine children and were
always looking for certain places along the
highway when they travelled, mainly businesses
they knew had clean restrooms they didn't mind
taking the family in to. In the early 1980's
they realized that there was no comprehensive
guide of services for the USA interstate highway
system that would allow travellers to plan their
stops ahead. By 1983 they were gathering this
information and tabulating it and finally went
to print in 1991. The NextEXIT will save you
time, money and frustration. This guide will
serve the motorist as an invaluable aid in
finding services along the interstate highway
and is a RVTV Good Read award winner.
